AI Use Policy

Version 2.1

At Bratton Wealth, we are committed to leveraging technology responsibly to enhance the quality, efficiency, and reliability of our services. This includes the careful and limited use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools within our business operations. This policy outlines how we use AI, the protections we apply, and our commitment to keeping clients’ interests front and centre.

1. How We Use AI

We use secure, enterprise-grade AI tools (such as Microsoft Copilot, Claras.AI, Gemini & ChatGPT Plus) to support internal business processes, including:

  • Drafting internal documentation and communication

  • Summarising research or large volumes of text

  • Summarising and structuring client meeting notes

  • Assisting with non-client-facing analysis and administration

  • Supporting general productivity and workflow efficiency

These tools help our team operate more efficiently, but they do not make decisions, generate client advice, or operate without human input.

2. No AI-Generated Financial Advice

All financial advice, strategies, and investment recommendations are developed and reviewed by licensed financial advisers. We do not use AI to provide personal advice or formulate portfolio recommendations.

3. Data Privacy and Security

Protecting your personal and financial information is fundamental to our business.

We do not input identifiable client data or sensitive information into AI tools unless:

  • The platform is enterprise-secure and hosted in a protected environment (like Australia)

  • The platform redacts any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) before processing

  • Use is confined to internal, non-client-facing analysis

  • The action complies with our privacy obligations and internal risk controls

No data is shared with public AI platforms, and client information is never used to train AI models.

4. Human Oversight

All content generated or supported by AI tools is reviewed and approved by qualified professionals before being used in client communications, documentation, or recommendations. AI enhances our work - it does not replace the human judgement, care, and experience that defines our service.

5. Ethical and Responsible Use

We are committed to responsible AI use. This includes:

  • Avoiding reliance on AI-generated content that may be biased, inaccurate, or misleading

  • Never using AI to impersonate individuals or misrepresent information

  • Ensuring all decisions affecting clients are made by people, not machines

We monitor developments in AI technology and adjust our internal policies to reflect best practice.

6. Ongoing Review

The use of AI is an evolving space. We regularly review our AI practices and this policy to ensure they remain safe, ethical, and compliant with regulatory requirements.

7. Transparency and Disclosure

We believe in being transparent with our clients. Where AI has played a material role in creating content (such as a research summary or internal report), that content is always reviewed and finalised by our team. Clients will never receive raw or unreviewed AI-generated output.

8. Staff Training and Internal Controls

All Bratton Wealth team members receive guidance and oversight on the ethical use of AI tools. Access is limited to approved applications, and we have controls in place to prevent misuse, ensure confidentiality, and uphold professional standards.

9. Regulatory Compliance

We operate in accordance with:

  • The Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles

  • Our obligations under our Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL)

  • Relevant ASIC guidance on technology and responsible service delivery

We continue to monitor regulatory developments in Australia and globally relating to AI use in professional services.
